This is for the people that believe everything is a competition (well because it is). Today we’re doing it for the love of the game.

First we’re going to check out @cidercade_houston they have fun old school arcade games that costs $12 for unlimited play! After 8pm it’s only 21 and over but we’re gonna go a little early so we can get all of our games in. They also have @bishopcider to drink if you want refreshments while kicking butt in Street Fighter!

Then we’re heading to @giantlosers for something to eat. They are known for their pizza but honestly the other options are great too!

Today is the First day of Black History Month (Happy Black History Month) so I wanted to include something that would allow you to support some really cool Black owned businesses. This entire date is located downtown and you can choose to only do the tasting or also head to dinner after as suggested.

First we’re going to Houston’s first black owned urban tasting room @purnoire . Given to us by an amazing husband and wife team that believes wine is more than just a drink in a glass. This Valentine’s Day and ironically also wine down Wednesday they are hosting a special wine and tapas pairing. Hence why it’s up to you if you still go to dinner after. Tapas are small plates so you might be a little hungry after but only you know. You will be guided through tasting 6 different wines with 4 chef prepared tapas to accompany them.

Next if you’re still hungry we’re going to @bungalowdining . People love this spot for their Steak and Seafood and really cool cocktails and since we had some tapas before this I would probably just grab one entree to share between the two of us.

Dinner and a movie has always been a date night classic for those that enjoy to snuggle up and just be.

First, we’re going to have dinner at a casual Italian spot called @eatnorthitalia . The perfect place for sharing a dish of handmade pasta Lady and the Tramp style. Don’t forget to get the meatballs or any of their pizzas too!

After we stare lovingly in each other’s eyes over carbs (the best way to do it in my opinion) we are going to head upstairs to the @rooftopcinemaclub for an open air movie. At 8:30pm they are showing Love and Basketball,a crowd (and ironically my best friends) favorite. Now I don’t know what the weather is going to be like so make sure you dress appropriately! You don’t wanna have this really cute date planned and your person is cold and miserable. But considering it’s Houston, we have about a 75% chance of the weather being really nice.

A semi finalist for best chef Texas by @beardfoundation @tatemo_htx is coming in hot with their all Maíz everything menu so let’s go appreciate their art!

Coined a MOLINO / TORTILLERÍA Tatemó is making it a point to restore the cultural value of maíz, and its nutritional value by showcasing the diversity of heirloom corn, from different landscapes and purveyors of Mexico via masa products like tortillas.

Sine it’s a tasting menu, it’s a little bit pricey but, completely worth it. If it helps I spent about $330 including tip for 2 people! But the service was phenomenal and it was nice walking in and not having to worry about a check walking out because you pay in advance. Also, it’s BYOB up to two bottles per table so you can bring your favorite bottle of wine to complement your meal without paying the up charges.

The Vibe: Adult Steak Night

Location: This entire date is at the @fshouston downtown bonus points if you decide to get a room for the night.

First, we’re going to have dinner at @torotorohouston , which is a Pan Latin steakhouse so you get really interesting apps like guac and ceviche, but you can also get a table side flame grilled steak. Even though this is steak night if you don’t want steak, they do have different types of seafood and poultry on the menu.

After we carb load, we are going to head to the speakeasy through the bookcase called @bandistahouston . Don’t forget reservations are required and because it’s a holiday we should be making reservations anyway guys. Here we’re gonna grab a couple of cocktails until we’re feeling kinda nice and then head out to enjoy the rest of our adult evening (if you know you know). Also please don’t forget to drink responsibility.

Every other day this week I will be posting a reel that has a Valentine’s Day options with price and ideas of what to wear included, of course take account of your personal style. What to wear ranges from super casual to pull out that you’ve been waiting to wear (AKA Put that Shit on).

My price point is for the whole date cost (so if it looks a bit pricey note it’s the WHOLE night). However this can of course change based on how much stuff you guys get. I have personally been to these places, so I’m gonna put around what I spent but, go ham.
$=150 or less
$$=150-250
$$$=250+

Today we have Sound Bites

Dress: Cute Casual (aka Jean and heels for my girls)

The entire date is located in #eadohouston and includes a bite to eat first and then some live music. I’m more of a dinner first then vibes after, but of course adjust your schedule according to what you prefer but check closing times!

We will be having dinner at @nancyshustle a bistro wine bar with dim lighting, good music and an interesting wine selection. They have a mixed menu so there is a little something for everybody. If their menu is not your thing you can also check out @streettokitchen , known for their authentic Thai food and their nomination for a James Beard award.

Then we will head over to the main event at @edenplant.co , starting at 7:30 PM. They host a jazz in the jungle event every other Wednesday that includes 2 hours of live music and a selection of wine to purchase. If wine is not your thing, you can also head over to the bar next-door, called @neighborshtx for a cocktail and bring it inside. They’re connected through a hallway towards the bathroom. Tickets will probably sell out so check @edenplant.co page for details.
